Welcome to the Law Office of Jean C. Gifford. Thanks for
taking the time to visit my Web Page.
I graduated from Golden Gate University School of Law in San
Francisco in December, 1989, in the top quarter of my class, and have been
a member of the California State Bar since August 1990. At my law school
graduation, one of our professors advised us to "Do Well...and Do Good." I
have tried to follow that advice by structuring my practice in a "win-win"
manner.
I have assisted over 4000 clients in creating Revocable Living
Trusts, both as an associate in a Sacramento law firm and as a sole
practitioner since 1992. I offer a free in-home consultation within 25
miles of my office in Davis, California, and a free office consultation
with clients who may live farther away. It may also be possible to create your Trust by telephone consultation.
My practice is based on a "win-win" philosophy of providing
excellent legal services in the field of Estate Planning for a reasonable
fee. By meeting with most of my clients in their homes, I save the expense
of maintaining a series of offices over a wide geographical area, an
expense I would only have to pass on in higher fees. I believe in helping
clients understand as much as they wish about the Living Trust and how to
use it to the best advantage.
The law is a second career for me. Before attending law
school, I served in the U.S. Navy and Navy Reserve for a total of
twenty-three years, retiring as a Chief Petty Officer. I am a native of
Memphis, Tennessee, have traveled extensively throughout the United States
and the Orient, and I am very grateful for the many things I learned from
my various experiences and from my wonderful parents, Charley (now
deceased) and Betty Gifford, currently living in Denver, CO.
If you need assistance with Estate Planning for yourself or for
a close relative, contact me for an appointment by
e-mail or call me at (530) 759-9659.
I look forward to assisting you.
